Firstmix obtains the cement properties to be used in a mix design from cement files.
Cement files, also termed ‘cem’ files since their file names have the extension ‘cem’, are stored by default in the directory specified for cement and Pozzolan files in Location of Files.
Firstmix is issued with three standard cement files, which contain typical cement properties for Ordinary Portland cement (OPC), Sulphate-resisting Portland cement (SRPC) and Rapid hardening Portland cement (RHPC).
Cement files are handled with the Cement Properties Dialog. The Load button of the Cement Properties Dialog enables you to load a cement file into the Dialog. You can then load the cement properties of the file into the mix design form or edit the properties to create a new cement type, which can be saved as a new cement file.
